Paul Holmes Fine Jewellery, based in Exchange Flags, Liverpool, had recently celebrated its first anniversary when they approached us for help in refining their brand. While they had a logo and a basic website, they lacked a cohesive brand identity that communicated the prestige and luxury they wanted to convey, especially in a market dominated by well-established brands.




The Impact
The refined brand has helped Paul Holmes Fine Jewellery establish itself as a luxury, aspirational jewellery retailer. With a modern, cohesive brand identity, they now stand out in a competitive market. The updated website and packaging design create a consistent, high-end experience for customers, both online and in-store.
The social media styling and stationery offer a seamless brand experience across all touchpoints, and the introduction of an eCommerce platform allows Paul Holmes Fine Jewellery to begin expanding their customer base and sales opportunities beyond Liverpool.
The Collaboration
We worked closely with the team to define the brand’s direction through a series of workshops focused on understanding their values, tone of voice, and mission statement. Our goal was to create a brand that felt aspirational, aligning with the luxurious feel of their showroom.
We refined the existing logo to enhance its digital legibility by simplifying the design and removing the rings around the “PH” monogram. A sophisticated blue-toned colour palette was introduced to evoke feelings of exclusivity and elegance.
Through persona development, we gained a deeper understanding of their customer base, helping shape messaging and design that resonated with their target audience. We also explored several straplines, eventually settling on “Special moments, timeless treasures,” which encapsulated the essence of the brand and its role in life’s memorable occasions.



The Solution
We delivered a complete branding overhaul for Paul Holmes Fine Jewellery, starting with a refined logo for improved digital legibility and a sophisticated blue-toned color palette that reflects the luxurious feel of their showroom. The brand’s voice was solidified with the strapline “Special moments, timeless treasures,” capturing the essence of their high-end offerings.
We also designed elegant packaging, including ring boxes and bags, and conducted a full-day photoshoot to showcase their eight jewellery collections. A cohesive social media style was created with templated posts, ensuring consistency across platforms.
In addition, we developed a full stationery suite — business cards, brochures, and care guides — that aligned with the new visual identity. Custom typography was implemented for a polished look across all materials. For events, we designed collateral to complement the in-store experience.
The website was reimagined to reflect the brand’s aspirational values, and we recommended adding eCommerce functionality, providing the opportunity for online sales and expanding their reach beyond Liverpool.
