The Challenge
When 2 Blackburne Terrace, a boutique hotel nestled in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter, approached Fore Studio, they were brand new to the market with little presence. With only four individually designed rooms, the hotel needed a way to stand out amongst well-established competitors in the area.
Although small in size, the hotel’s eclectic interiors, with vibrant furniture, unique artwork, and grand hallways, were bursting with personality.
The challenge was to translate this distinctive character into a digital experience that captured the attention of potential guests and highlighted its exclusivity.


The Impact
Without a strong digital presence, they risked blending into the background of a competitive luxury hotel market. Their lack of brand recognition, combined with the challenge of being a small, boutique hotel with only four rooms, could have left them overlooked by potential high-end guests. They needed a brand and website that reflected their individuality and helped them stand out in the crowded landscape of luxury accommodations.
The Collaboration
When owners Glenn and Sarah, contacted Fore Studio, they had already painstakingly designed the interior of the hotel themselves. With their impeccable eye for detail and design, it was our responsibility to bring the charm and uniqueness of the hotel into the digital realm. We worked closely with Glenn and Sarah through numerous meetings to fully understand their vision and ensure that the essence of 2 Blackburne Terrace was reflected online.
Their hotel, a mix of classic and contemporary with vibrant touches—like a purple dining table and a variety of bold, mismatched chairs—felt like an art gallery, with floor-to-ceiling artwork and distinct rooms, each designed in its own style. Our job was to encapsulate this artistic flair and sophistication into a cohesive digital and brand experience.


The Solution
Fore Studio delivered a full brand development strategy that not only elevated the hotel’s digital presence but also communicated its timeless and sophisticated character:
Brand Development and Website Design
We designed a website that encapsulates the personality of 2 Blackburne Terrace, incorporating unique iconography to represent each of the four distinct rooms. Colour overlays on images were used to showcase the vibrant furniture, allowing the hotel’s quirky yet luxurious feel to shine through.
Video Production
To bring the hotel’s mood to life, we shot a promotional video that captured the sophisticated yet artistic vibe of the space. The video has been live for around 10 years, and to this day, still feels fresh and relevant.
Paid Social Campaigns & Print Ads
We supported with paid social campaigns allowing customers to see them from afar both nationally and internationally. Printed promotional collateral and advertising materials that reflected the timeless, high-end brand image they wanted to convey.
Timeless Design
Our work was designed to be classic and enduring. The website and video still look contemporary after nearly a decade, and the hotel continues to attract high-end clientele.
